CoLA's Points of Pride

DEPARTMENTS OF RELIGION, PHILOSOPHY, AND CLASSICS

The Department of Classical Humanities is participating again with Marburg University of Germany in sponsoring a trip to Kleonai, Greece to excavate the ruins of an ancient city. A second collaboration with the American School of Classical Studies at Athens placed students at the museum in Ancient Corinth working on Bronze Age material discovered only a few years ago.

Dr. Robert Smith, adjunct professor of Philosophy and Religion, has been awarded the 2006 Robert Frost Poetry Award for his poem “Catbird.”  His poem was chosen from more than 650 submissions from poets representing twelve countries.
